The Daily Prompt: Sliced BreadMost of us have heard the saying, “That’s the best thing since sliced bread!” What do you think is actually the best thing since sliced bread?

This is something new for us. However, we understand this is part of a rotation for bloggers blogging since 27th January, 2013. So, we guess WordPress has to find the best thing since sliced bread. 😀

For newbies like us, the saying, “That’s the best thing since sliced bread!” means something better than sliced bread. This phrase is generally meant to be used as the mother of invention, and what is that, which we find better than this invention? As we danced our fingers on the keyboard to explore, pizza was found to be the best thing since sliced bread. But, for bloggers, with a unique perspective, that’s us (Ahem 😉 )the best thing since sliced bread, or rather the best invention after sliced bread would go far beyond the basics. There are indeed countless inventions. But to relate it to food, this is what we see better than the best…

“Sliced bread” must have left your mouth watering. The effect must have been even greater, if there were rats running inside your stomach. We got to hurry to the kitchen to get something for us just after we finish off this write-up. If “sliced bread” could make you hungry, how about a restaurant? That glamorous table, those glittering spoons and forks and shining dishes remind us of all the delicacies, finely dressed and ready to be served for a treat! Those tasty meals deserve to be served with elegance. Yes, “the best thing since sliced bread” is “Restaurant”. And we are off to find something for us to eat. 🙂

  1. In the USA ‘Gluten-Free’ bread would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. I don’t even know where to begin explaining that. Our culture is always chasing the latest fad even food fads.
