We each have many types of love relationships — parents, children, spouses, friends. And they’re not always with people; you may love an animal, or a place. Is there a single idea or definition that runs through all the varieties of “love”?
In response to The Daily Post: Breaking the Law. This photograph was taken in 2009, when our son was three years old. He was experimenting with talcum powder, which for him was snow! 🙂
This post is in response to Weekly Writing Challenge: Ice, Water, Steam.
The Challenge: For this week’s writing challenge, take on the theme of H2O. Just like water is still water, whether it’s solid, liquid, or gaseous, you are still yourself, whether you’re in the middle of a career change or identity shift. Hey, even dying your hair pink is just a different variation of you.
Whether we are rich or poor, we are what we think. Simple living is not what matters, simple thinking does.
“Simple living and high thinking” is a common adage we have been living with, right from our childhood. It is simple to understand, isn’t it? Live a simple life with the basic needs, have high aims in life and be happy.
What we perceived then and what we perceive now transmit vibes that are poles apart.
The irony: Everything is in the mind. The higher we think, the higher our hopes and expectations, and higher soars our greed. This ultimately lands one into a pit full of competition, jealousy and revenge. Over the years, experience explained, what actually matters is ‘think simple’.
We love to capture different moments in our life and find it exciting to express our thoughts through these random clicks. We made an attempt to express our journey of life through these photographs. So, fasten your seat belts and enjoy this journey through our head and heart ! 🙂
1. Hunt for truth:
The oar as seen immersed in water has something to say!
Clicked while we enjoyed boating in Nainital, Uttarakhand, India
Do not believe what you hear, do not believe what you see,
A smile on your face may not mean you’re free;
The actions we take are the reactions we face,
Do not judge, the truth lies beneath;
This is what we believe.
2. Surprises matter
Life is full of surprises, good or bad;
Never stop learning, happy or sad.
3. Solve problems
Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun, India
When faced with problems, do not complain;
Look for alternative solutions, take a concrete decision.
4. Plan with open mind
Lonar Crater, Maharashtra, India
Dream and plan with an open mind,
Follow the step you’ve designed;
If plans begin to fail, do not sigh;
The open mind will help you to fly!
5. Mould to fit
Millipede
Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery;
Mould to fit today, shape your destiny.
6. Adventure calling
