Proud of Me

In response to The Daily Post: Proud

I may be small, but I stand tall,

Without me, the beauty would fall;

This is how I’m made,

No matter if others hate;

I’m here for a reason,

Earth is my home, not a prison;

 I can stand against the wind and the rain,

Even if I fall, I can rise again;

I’m food for the honey bee;

No regrets, I’m proud of me.

Likeable Blog Justified!

Blog Posts

The Challenge: You have three hundred words to justify the existence of your favorite person, place, or thing. Failure to convince will result in it vanishing without a trace. Go!

Our favorite is our Blog! Here we go justifying the existence of Sia Positive. 🙂

Our previous post What’s so special about 1337 was a poem in response to Writing Prompt: Blogging 101 that expressed who we are and why we are here in WordPress. Just minutes before we came across this writing prompt, there was a notification saying we’ve received 1337 likes in our blog! This number left us scratching our head and we were motivated to come up with a post hoping to get answers to our question about this special number. We wondered, how many bloggers are aware of the significance of 1337? Guess what? No answers!

What next? You’re right! Google!

So we decided to Google. And what a coincidence! The Daily Post came up with yet another prompt, Do or Die! Could there be any better way to link this current post to this prompt? So, here we are justifying the existence of our blog. We are sure Sia Positive will not vanish but exist!

We came across several interpretations for 1337. But what we thought could be best related to this blogging world goes as follows:

Angel Number 1337 is a message of ‘congratulations’ from your angels and the Ascended Masters, as you have chosen the right course of action and are travelling well along your life path. Your clear connection with the angels, Archangels and Ascended Masters is ensuring a strong channel of communication and you are receiving Divine guidance every step of the way. Call upon the angels whenever you feel the need for help and support. You are encouraged to continue on your current path as the angels and Ascended Masters support you in your quest.

Angel Number 1337 is a message from your angels that you are being commended and applauded for your efforts as your successes are inspiring and uplifting and you are helping and teaching others by being a positive example for others to follow.  You have listened to and heeded the guidance from the angels and are successfully serving your Divine life purpose and soul mission with wisdom, love, persistence and enthusiasm.  Allow the flow of positive abundance to shower down upon you as your creative energies have been activated and you are being asked to express yourself with joy and enthusiasm.

Angel Number 1337 indicates that your positive expectations, prayers and visualizations have set you on your course and ‘right’ life path.  Your angels ask that you keep up the great work and keep affirming positive outcomes.

So, are you convinced? 🙂

Life Goes On…

Food for thought: When was the last time you were ready to throw in the proverbial towel? Did you end up letting go, or decided to fight on anyway?

Whether we decide to let go or fight back; what matters is feel comfortable; because the soul is important, not the problem.

Set the mind free!

IMG_1675

There cannot be just one answer to different questions. Similarly, the problems we encounter do not come with just one solution. At times, we need to fight back; while at other times we need to just let it go! If fighting back does not land us in comfortable situation, there is no other option but to just let it go!

There have been several instances in our life when, if we let go the problem, the solution seems to be just ahead of us; which otherwise was not visible when we were trying to fight back. That short break provides the needed energy and positive energy to fight back!

Fight back with positive energy!

IMG_1372

Throw in the towel is a time when time needs to be given time. Time heals all pain and adversity. “Do not quit” would be too harsh on the heart and soul; if quitting is what makes us feel good! How else can we open doors to new opportunities if we never quit?

In any case, whether we let it go or decide to fight back, the fuel that keeps us moving is never regret. That calls for saying; we have to trust our decisions and keep the faith. There must have been some reason behind that decision we took. If Plan A didn’t work, there is always a Plan B. Create as many plans as we see fit!  But just move on. This is how we learn. And living is a learning experience.

JUST ONE MOMENT

This post is part of The Daily Post: Two Right Feet

What are the things you need to do within 30 minutes of waking up to ensure your day gets off on the right foot? What happened the last time you didn’t do one of these things?

IMG_4535

30 minutes or 15 minutes,

Will make no difference;

Wake up feeling good,

The day will give you preference.

Open your eyes, wear that smile,

Thank the Lord for keeping you alive;

Left foot or right, never worry!

Go slow and steady, do not hurry.

Wake up happy, it’s another new day;

Do not hesitate to make a demand,

And the genie will say,

“Your wish is my command”.

If daily routines make you sick,

Relax, let time play the trick;

Discover the hidden treasure,

The ‘feel good’ moment will give you real pleasure.

Laugh a While

There are times when the mind doesn’t seem to work at the desired speed. It becomes laborious to maintain a balance between family, work and passion. This is when laughter plays the trick.

This post is part of A Photo A Week Challenge: Humor. There is no photograph though, we thought of producing a small comic strip. Enjoy!

Way of Life !

“Do not worry about going fast; you are not in a race. Do not think of going far; you cannot defeat death. Just walk. Enjoy the journey.”     —- Ahmad & Ahmad

This post is part of two challenges: Cee’s which Way Photo Challenge: 2014 #23 and Nurthuring Thursday

In response to the Challenges, we share below few of our photographs that actually describes the Way Of Life!

Here they are:

1. Beautiful

IMG_0499
Clicked at Birla Institute of Applied Sciences, Bhimtal, Uttarakhand, India.

Our life is sometimes beautiful, straight, smooth, supportive (represented by the green tress, if you could not guess that) and with available directions to show us the way to our destination.

 2. Indecisive

In many instances life puts us in a situation where we are not sure which way to go; whom to follow, whom not to follow. The choice is ultimately ours!

 3. Twists and turns

Sometimes our life changes its direction as we climb up the path of growth. This is seen through the changes we undergo, in our thoughts, behaviour and way of living as we cross childhood, adulthood and old age.

 4. Challenge

IMG_2823
On way to Munsiyari, Uttarakhand, India.

Our life offers us many hurdles. These hurdles may be in the form of depression, rejection, fear or failure. It is up to us if we wish to go back, wait or go ahead and face the challenges.

 5. Struggle

Life is not always smooth. (represented by the gravels on the road). Though we know the way, it demands hard work and patience as we move ahead.

 6. Unsolved Mystery

Finally, life is an unsolved mystery. However smooth or straight the way is, or far it may stretch, after a point it goes out of view. To relate, we are heading towards infinity, towards the unknown!

How would you describe your way of life?

The Green Crown

The Challenge: Open the book you are reading right now (or a favourite if you aren’t reading anything, oh, and shame on you!), turn to page 33 (or 33% on e-readers) and write a super flash fiction about the first proper noun (person, place or thing) on the page!

One of our favourite book is “501 Must Visit Destinations”. We opened page 33 and the first proper noun we came across is Jozani Park.

The Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park is a 50 km2 (19 sq mi) national park of Tanzania located on the island of Zanzibar. It is the only national park in Zanzibar. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jozani_Chwaka_Bay_National_Park). it is the largest park of mature native forest remaining on the island following years of deforestation. The park offers a refuge for many types of mammals and nearly 200 species of birds.

Here is a super-short tale on Jozani Park. We thought of naming it “The Green Crown”.

Here I stand all alone;

In the island of Zanzibar,

Embraced by the reef limestone marine terrace.

Don’t cut me down or I drown,

Never to rise again and shelter you with my ‘Green Crown’.

Back to Life

cropped-bhimtal-with-nainital-mountain-far-behind3.jpg

After an especially long and exhausting drive or flight, a grueling week at work, or a mind-numbing exam period — what’s the one thing you do to feel human again?

Human- a word generally used to distinguish man from animals. Is this distinction really required? As kids we used to feel at ease with any animal or bird or insect least bothered about the consequences. Children are kept away from many things, many experiences, yet they do not stop learning. But as adults we hold back and put off our mind. It seems adults need to be taken care of more than children and kept away from many things; to allow every life to take its own stride! The reader is probably wondering: what has humanity got to do with this daily post? Well, this is a point to ponder!

Back to the point. Indeed, long and exhausting drive or flight, a grueling week at work, or a mind-numbing exam period make one feel mechanical. What is that which make us feel ‘back to life’? For me, it is splashing cool water on my face, hands and legs, feel every drop taking away the exhaustion as water flows down. It is a magnificent feeling. Yes, back to life again! As for my better half; I guess the immediate thing he would do is relax in bed stretched out completely or stretch himself in the cozy sofa, (I wonder if it is so cozy) scanning the channels of the television, just like a small kid curiously watching the wagons of a passing train.

Every human will have their own crazy ways of taking them back to life. But whatever we do, in order to feel human, someone with flesh and blood; we need to do the things we love to do. And it would make life more adventurous, enjoyable and worth living if we try to discover ways to feel human whether we are taking our journey through the road (or air or water), through work or studies. Feeling human would cleanse away the exhaustion not only from the body but as well as the mind and soul. Lending a small helping hand to the needy can also make us feel human. We can find ways, innumerable ways. We just have to stop and look around.

“It is better to die once than to have hundred deaths.” We can feel human every moment. It is just a matter of choice! But again, we are ‘humans’ (still pondering over the use of this word) and however hard we try we are over burdened with emotions and taking us back to life is in itself a challenge! So, let us accept this challenge and move ahead and feel human.
