Depth of Life

Mountain n river- Bageshwar

 Dark is the absence of light,

Hate is the absence of love,

Death is the absence of life.

Rules and laws are made by us,

Situations change but rules never change!

Is it fair enough?

We punish the wrong and reward the right,

With the hope that wrong never prevail;

How far is this right?

If the world has changed,

Why do we still talk of change!

If we all are sinners, then who are we to judge?

We are not prisoners;

We do not need rules to live,

Then why can’t we take a risk,

And think positive!

Arrest hatred, arrest the furious mind,

Punish jealousy and greed,

Leave the negative behind.

Right or wrong, good or bad,

Are we not aware?

Feel the depth of life, far and wide;

Let peace prevail worldwide.

The Irony

Think Simple

This post is in response to Weekly Writing Challenge: Ice, Water, Steam.

The Challenge: For this week’s writing challenge, take on the theme of H2O. Just like water is still water, whether it’s solid, liquid, or gaseous, you are still yourself, whether you’re in the middle of a career change or identity shift. Hey, even dying your hair pink is just a different variation of you.

Whether we are rich or poor, we are what we think. Simple living is not what matters, simple thinking does.

“Simple living and high thinking” is a common adage we have been living with, right from our childhood. It is simple to understand, isn’t it? Live a simple life with the basic needs, have high aims in life and be happy.

What we perceived then and what we perceive now transmit vibes that are poles apart.

The irony: Everything is in the mind. The higher we think, the higher our hopes and expectations, and higher soars our greed. This ultimately lands one into a pit full of competition, jealousy and revenge. Over the years, experience explained, what actually matters is ‘think simple’.

So…

Simplicity is in the mind, not lifestyle,

Generosity is a quality divine;

Live your dreams, you have a lifetime;

Be human, spread the sunshine.

Good or bad is in the heart,

Show gratitude for what you’re bestowed;

How you live is a work of art;

Clean the soul for a heavenly abode.

Rich or poor, is in the mind,

If you are alive, you’ve to strive;

Think simple and just be kind,

If you’ve money, help others to survive.

Is it convincing?

It’s our dreams we try to connect!

Simple living and high thinking,

Does it make a man perfect?

A Long Drive

IMG_0928

How much is too much?

Is a question the mind asked;

Competition, expectation and position;

Are all that makes everything  a bit too much!

He is the best, she is the best;

But we need to be better than the rest!

Take it easy, do not strive too hard,

Fast! Learn the art of working smart!

Success, fame or wealth comes later,

A happy journey is all that matter;

Breathe free, go for a long drive;

Let the heart and soul feel alive!

Answer. Oxygen 😉

2015 Week 2:

Q. 1 Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?

Answer.

We’re crazy travelers and passionate photographers;

Sorry to say dear bloggers, we’re not huggers. 🙂

Q. 2 What’s your favorite ice-cream flavor?

Answer.

Not one, not two, a long list we’d like to show;

If you go to the store, let us know if there are more!

Q. 3 Do you prefer exercising your mind or your body? How frequently do you do either?

Answer.

Body and mind are the jewels of mankind; face, heart and soul makes a man refined;

Exercise them all daily, very skillfully; they are the five aspects of harmony.

Q. 4 Are you more of a dog person or a cat person? Why?

Answer.

Flora and fauna we admire; they are creations that inspire;

Compassion we’d like to show; to all living things, as we grow.

Q. 5 Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Answer.

Oxygen again! Because without it, there’s nothing we can gain. 🙂

2015 Week 3:

Answer. We would rather give the choice to you! Who would love to have dinner with us? You’re welcome! 🙂

Q. 2 When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?

Answer. Oh! Just few seconds after reading this question. Why miss the opportunity to pamper the self? 😉

Q. 3 If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?

Answer. Ability to wake up every morning with quality of our choice! 😀

Q. 4 What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about?

Answer. Seriously nothing! 😛

Q. 5 Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Answer. Two molecules of Oxygen and we don’t ask for more in the coming week too.

2015 Week 4:

Q. 1 Where did you live at age five?  Is it the same place or town you live now?

Answer.

Five is a number so tender; the life of an offender, defender and pretender;

None other than parents we did surrender.

Now is the time to look around; go ahead and take that stride;

Near or far, to follow our dreams, we plan to travel worldwide.

Q. 2 You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met.  Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself?

Answer.

If we are Invited to a party of fascinating people we would never go to that party. Rather we would prefer meeting those people alone. 🙂

Q. 3 Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it?

Answer.

Growing up is part of learning, we admit it!

Small town or big, we lived our life and we liked it!

Q. 4 As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

This is simple. An adult!

Q. 5 Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Oxygen steals the bonus again!

2015 Week 5:

Q. 1 Do you prefer shopping or going to a park?

Answer. Why not both? Go to a park, then shop and come back. 😉

Q. 2 If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why?

Answer.  One that fits no one! That, which can be used as a show piece for decoration at home. Why? We don’t wish to get soiled, but admired and handled with love and care. We don’t wish to get replaced in the long run. 😀

Note: We are passionate travelers though, but would never wish to be used by anyone so. 🙂

Q. 3 What’s the story behind a time when you got locked out?

Answer. Locked out? Not a big deal. Break the lock! 🙂

Q. 4 Do you prefer eating foods with nuts or no nuts?

Answer. Not old enough to dislike nuts. 😀

Q. 5 Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Answer. Oxygen and Carbon dioxide for our survival so that we can exist in WordPress.  🙂

The Priceless Gift to Humanity!

Santa whispers……

“The Armour to defeat FEAR” 🙂

make possible

The craze to excel, succeed and secure our survival on this earth has set for us a life full of struggles. Under such circumstances, we need to keep us armored to face every trial that comes our way. Whatever we fear for, has a tendency to take us in its grip. No fear and we are free!

In our day to day life we are surrounded by many fears: most commonly felt are fear of the consequences, fear of embarrassment, fear of being left behind, fear of failure and fear of rejection.

This Christmas, Santa comes to you with this priceless and precious armor that will help you kill fear in your mind and help you to fight away, not only cowardice but also the bad; and shine with the good.

Santa whispers…

Believe in yourself

Do you have the capacity to recognize those hidden talents and abilities in you?

No. Why?

Because the grass is always green on the other side!

Humans have a tendency to make comparisons because comparisons provide a competitive spirit and act as a stimulus for success. But then, what is success? Success is not the end but a process. Our main motive should not rest in success but in becoming capable. Once we become capable, success will follow us in every sphere of our life. Therefore, instead of wasting time judging others, try to see the hidden genius in you. Spend time learning about the soul in you.

You ask how?

Observe closely how you carry yourself in your day-to-day life. This will assist you in finding out your strengths and weaknesses and help you prepare yourself and practice; which is the second and most important step to defeat fear.

Santa whispers again…

Prepare and Practice

Once you have identified your talents, work on it. Take that effort to sharpen and polish your skills. Try to look for new ideas and ways to improve yourself.

Ever felt that fear of standing in front of a huge crowd for a speech? Or the fear of an examination or fear of appearing for an interview? Everyone has. That is the fear of our expectations not getting fulfilled. Is that the end of life?

We tend to fear because we are not prepared to face it. A significant amount of homework and research would nourish our belief and act as a tonic to help us face the trial ahead of us. Preparation accompanied by perspiration and perseverance will remove fear from the mind. Practice helps a man give excellent performance! Better not to thrive for perfection because that is God’s business. 🙂

And the magic begins when we add that extra ingredient to Self-belief and Practice; and that is Faith!

Merry Christmas !

The Peaceful Smile

IMG_0096

Here we are again sharing one of our best photographs in response to two Challenges:

Nurturing Thursday  and   A Photo a Week: Up Close and Personal

Let us all take that step towards peace. Peace, not on Earth, but within us, in every soul. Let us all carry that innocent and sparkling smile that has the power to solve any problem. Let us not just hope for change, rather be the change! Let us empathize and not sympathize.
