Who is Great?

IMG_0079

What’s the use of having a mind if it can’t change?

Young or old, big or small, there’s nothing strange!

Open the arms, breathe deep, feel the air come in,

Our destiny is in our hand, let’s play it!

To hold on or to give up, just don’t bother;

We’re not alone, we all move together!

Sunrise or sunset, appreciate the beauty,

Don’t compare, it’s the Sun’s duty!

Let’s do our duty come what may;

Thank the Lord, it’s another new day!

Proud of Me

In response to The Daily Post: Proud

IMG_0150

I may be small, but I stand tall,

Without me, the beauty would fall;

This is how I’m made,

No matter if others hate;

I’m here for a reason,

Earth is my home, not a prison;

 I can stand against the wind and the rain,

Even if I fall, I can rise again;

I’m food for the honey bee;

No regrets, I’m proud of me.

Walk to Remember

This photograph was taken during our trek at Lonar Crater, India.

“Follow us, but we may not lead you;

Lead us, but we may not follow you;

Walk beside us, you’ll always find us with you.”

Just One Day

IMG_2297

Today is the first day and also the last,

Live it fast before it becomes the past;

Spread love, fly like a dove,

Be like a star in the sky above.

Smile and laugh for a while,

Embrace every moment with style;

Everyday will be a day to rejoice,

Just go ahead and make a choice.

Where there’s no pain, there’s no gain,

Let the sorrows flow away with the rain;

First days or last days; all are forgotten,

It’s the memories that still remain.

The Beauty of Black and White

The first thought that crossed our mind when we read about the topic for this week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge:Open Topic was that, we can select any topic of our choice with no restriction. But then, this is just one way of looking at this topic. The word “Open” carries other profound meanings as well.

This is indeed a challenge!

Photo shops can easily create a black and white picture.  What we preferred to bring to our viewers was something original. We finally collected some of our photographs that were in Black and White and that could be related to the word ‘Open’.

The photographs we have shared were not edited and are in their original form.

Enjoy the real and original beauty of Black and White as we make an effort to relate it to the Open Topic.

1. The Passage

( open: adjective- allowing access, passage, or a view through an empty space; not closed or blocked)

Clouds give a passage to the final rays of the Sun to reach the Earth before dusk.

This photograph was taken in Bhimtal, Uttarakhand, India. An evening in Bhimtal. Very light shades of the blue and orange is also visible.

 2. Spread the Light

(open: verb- unfold or be unfolded; spread out)

Sunrays unfolds and spreads out as the Earth starts a new day.

This photograph was clicked in a cloudy morning, from Almora  Uttarakhand, India. We could not resist sharing this picture. Observe how a red ball of fire can open itself turning white and spreading light. Cannot think of a better way to represent ‘Open’.

Beautiful sunset behind the hills-Almora

3. The Truth

(open: adjective- exposed to the air or to view; not covered)
We are open minded when we have the courage to face the truth or accept the truth. So, what is the truth about life?

The truth is revealed by Nature- “there is light after every darkness.”

This photograph was taken in Munsiyari. The sun is seen rising behind the Panchachulli peaks. It was an awesome view as we observed the Himalayan peaks turn black as the Earth was giving way to sunshine.

4. Outdoor

(open: noun- outdoors or in the countryside.)

This is a view of a beautiful evening of Connaught Place, New Delhi, India. Many of the buildings in this area are white and the evening makes it a perfect view of black and white. The Sun is visible as a white ball.

5. The Open Challenge

(open: noun- a championship or competition with no restrictions on who may compete)

Black mountains and White patches of clouds in the sky with the white ball makes a perfect picture for The Open Black and White Challenge !

Hope you had a wonderful journey as you traveled through the immense beauty of Nature and could listen to what Nature had to Open up with.  :-)

Luxurious Moments!

Feeling Fancy Or Nothing at all !

Moments 1

Let us assume that we were given unlimited funds to plan one day full of any and all luxuries that we normally can’t afford.

Unlimited funds to use luxury and just one day? Not fair!

If unlimited fund is given to us, we would have asked for unlimited time to fulfill all our earthly dreams and wishes.

On one hand, unlimited funds in hand will be a huge burden in the head! And spending that money for the luxuries we generally can’t afford; that too in one day; will be another headache! Why waste the time running around like fools trying to purchase or avail the luxuries? Too many of them !

There is no definition of luxury. It is a relative term. Suppose we had sufficient fund to go to the Moon; a desire to travel round the rings of awesome Saturn would be a luxury for us. Further, if we could make to Saturn, how about a day’s trip of the infinite Universe! Therefore, our luxury knows no bounds. And having everything will land us in a situation where we will find our self having nothing. We will gradually be drifted away from the more meaningful and most wanted moments in our life. Luxury will no longer be luxury but a misery.

‘Moments’ are something we generally overlook, even though we always have it with us. They are our only possession. They are the most luxurious of all because even unlimited money can’t buy these moments for us. After having everything, all that we will seek are: time to spend with our near and dear ones, time to relax, breathe free and the time to spend and enjoy every bit of natures’ wonders.  Therefore, we would be better off having nothing rather than have everything and get lost in infinity.
