JUST ONE MOMENT

This post is part of The Daily Post: Two Right Feet

What are the things you need to do within 30 minutes of waking up to ensure your day gets off on the right foot? What happened the last time you didn’t do one of these things?

30 minutes or 15 minutes,

Will make no difference;

Wake up feeling good,

The day will give you preference.

Open your eyes, wear that smile,

Thank the Lord for keeping you alive;

Left foot or right, never worry!

Go slow and steady, do not hurry.

Wake up happy, it’s another new day;

Do not hesitate to make a demand,

And the genie will say,

“Your wish is my command”.

If daily routines make you sick,

Relax, let time play the trick;

Discover the hidden treasure,

The ‘feel good’ moment will give you real pleasure.

Blogging is fun

Blogging is fun

Blogging is fun, there’s nothing to lose,

Good or bad, share your views;

Walk the talk, go slow,

Be careful with words you throw.

Take out time to meet and greet,

Reflect how people feel;

As you sow , so shall you reap;

If you’re left behind, don’t you weep.

Name and fame are just dust,

You’re a genius, always trust;

‘Followers’ and ‘likes’ give you the hike;

Visit your followers, do not dislike.

High or low, less or more;

Do not stop, continue to explore;

Keep the balance, or you drown;

Do not frown, just calm down.

Blogging is fun, there’s nothing to lose,

 Good or bad, share your views;

Walk the talk, go slow,

Be careful with words you throw. 🙂

Skill of Living

Art of living

There are instances in life when we start questioning our existence; when nothing goes right and we feel left behind. These are times when we wish to be the master (or mistress) of some skill in this world; so that we can move on smoothly and live our life with contentment.

The skill that we would pick is: Skill of Living. We choose this skill because mastering the Skill of Living will act as a stimulus and show us the way to be the master in all other skills.

Here are few examples that we think, represent the Skill of Living. There is a negative though that may push us down, followed by a positive thought that will pull us up again.

“I’ve wasted my time”

“Every moment wasted has taught me to climb”

“I’m not intelligent, confident and smart”

“Never compare, get recharged and restart”

“There are people bad and good”

“Look at me, it’s something i misunderstood”

“You pulled me down, I’m hurt”

“I know my worth, I’m beautiful from my heart”

“I’m depressed, lonely and sad”

“These moments make me strong, I’m glad”

“Don’t do this, don’t do that”

“Take a risk, just go ahead”

“Time waits for no one”

“Remove the battery and it’s done”

“I’m negative, discontent and do not know how to chill”

“I know the Skill of Living, I’m the master of this skill !”

Virtual is Real !

Grateful and Guilty

IMG_0848

Here is a short Gratitude Note we have written for Technology. For us, TECHNOLOGY is the guiltiest guilty pleasure. We have tried to express our guiltiest guilty pleasure in the note. Hope you enjoy it.

Dear Technology,

It has been a decade since you trespassed our simple and happy territory. Crawling all the way from the 19th century you finally established your roots in our sweet little world. You captured our hearts by assisting us in gathering the known lost hearts and souls and incidentally landing us in the unknown world of  addiction. We are happy to have you with us for making our lives easier, faster, more effective and efficient. You have intelligently supported us in covering our laziness.

Technology, we must admit that you have been a great stress reliever. We appreciate the ample amount of time you spend with us, hardly allowing us to feel the absence of our near and dear ones and gradually stealing those emotions from us. You have showed us the way to kill those soft corners in our hearts. Your presence made us strong and practical.

We are also grateful for your 2G, 3G and many other creepy connections. Though irritating and time consuming, they have taught us the power of patience. Thank you for embracing us and guiding us to the world of solitude- a place full of wonder where virtual is real.

Thank you for being with us whenever we needed you. You deserve to be loved! 🙂

Yours Faithfully,

Addictive Users

No Time! Are you sure?

This is the clock we  purchased recently. Since then, we have enough time to do anything and everything. Time is a matter of our choice.

“If you do not have the time to do something, think again! Remove the damn battery from the clock. This is how clocks work. Isn’t it? So, Relax, life is too short to worry about time”. 🙂

Whatever

No Second Opinion

What are some (or one) of the things about which you usually don’t trust your own judgment, and need someone’s else’s confirmation?

Take time to think and follow your own decisions. Much better, if we can be intuitive.

Why take a second opinion? Do we really need one? What if the second opinion turns out to be against our judgment or decision? This would make our mind go topsy –turvy. Once we miss on the (hidden) first opinion, which in fact is the voice of our conscience (that silently cross our mind), we will then not confine ourselves with a second opinion but a dozen other opinions unless we have had enough who will agree with our own. The more support we get, the better!

While approaching for a second opinion we try to convince the second party to agree to the decision we had already taken or the presumptions we have made and try to influence them through our thoughts. Those who are wise will confirm and those who are not will give their own opinion and judgments, unaware that it is a waste of time because it will not be followed in any case. When we go for a second opinion we look  for supporters and not advisers!

For instance, we look for second opinion here in this blog itself. The more “likes” and “positive comments” we get, the better, because we get  followers who agree to our thoughts. But what if no one likes the post? If someone does not agree to them, it is fine. Perspectives differ! If we need advice we’ll look for one but, allow others to manipulate our decision through a second opinion? No way! WordPress itself has given the provision for approving these second opinions! 🙂

Just enjoyed this conversation cited by another blogger!

A typical conversation….Me: “Hey, which is better the red or the blue?”

Companion : “The red, definitely the red”

Me: OK… but I like the blue one on me.. I think I ‘ll take that !

Companion: Duh!

So it is better to stick to our own judgments and not waste time. The more we learn to trust our own decisions, the lesser time we waste and the wiser we become.
