Morton’s Fork?

Good Bye

Morton’s Fork is an expression used for a dilemma, especially one in which both choices are equally undesirable. A Morton’s Fork is a specious piece of reasoning in which contradictory arguments lead to the same (unpleasant) conclusion. It is said to originate with the collecting of taxes by John Morton, Archbishop of Canterbury in the late 15th century, who held that a man living modestly must be saving money and could therefore afford taxes, whereas if he was living extravagantly then he was obviously rich and could still afford them.

So, who is playing Morton here? WordPress?

If you had to choose between being able to write a blog (but not read others’) and being able to read others’ blogs (but not write your own), which would you pick? Why?

Either way, we are the victim. If we were not able to write our blog, why would we even think of being here? On the contrary, why would anybody care to read our blog, if we do not play their audience. Guess what? It’s a Good Bye!

Human beings are balanced creatures. They need small doses of everything- good and bad, happy and sad, day and night, summer and winter, spring and autumn, love and hate, oxygen and carbon dioxide too! If we have the capacity to read and/or listen, we also keep the desire to write and/or express.

Likeable Blog Justified!

Blog Posts

The Challenge: You have three hundred words to justify the existence of your favorite person, place, or thing. Failure to convince will result in it vanishing without a trace. Go!

Our favorite is our Blog! Here we go justifying the existence of Sia Positive. 🙂

Our previous post What’s so special about 1337 was a poem in response to Writing Prompt: Blogging 101 that expressed who we are and why we are here in WordPress. Just minutes before we came across this writing prompt, there was a notification saying we’ve received 1337 likes in our blog! This number left us scratching our head and we were motivated to come up with a post hoping to get answers to our question about this special number. We wondered, how many bloggers are aware of the significance of 1337? Guess what? No answers!

What next? You’re right! Google!

So we decided to Google. And what a coincidence! The Daily Post came up with yet another prompt, Do or Die! Could there be any better way to link this current post to this prompt? So, here we are justifying the existence of our blog. We are sure Sia Positive will not vanish but exist!

We came across several interpretations for 1337. But what we thought could be best related to this blogging world goes as follows:

Angel Number 1337 is a message of ‘congratulations’ from your angels and the Ascended Masters, as you have chosen the right course of action and are travelling well along your life path. Your clear connection with the angels, Archangels and Ascended Masters is ensuring a strong channel of communication and you are receiving Divine guidance every step of the way. Call upon the angels whenever you feel the need for help and support. You are encouraged to continue on your current path as the angels and Ascended Masters support you in your quest.

Angel Number 1337 is a message from your angels that you are being commended and applauded for your efforts as your successes are inspiring and uplifting and you are helping and teaching others by being a positive example for others to follow.  You have listened to and heeded the guidance from the angels and are successfully serving your Divine life purpose and soul mission with wisdom, love, persistence and enthusiasm.  Allow the flow of positive abundance to shower down upon you as your creative energies have been activated and you are being asked to express yourself with joy and enthusiasm.

Angel Number 1337 indicates that your positive expectations, prayers and visualizations have set you on your course and ‘right’ life path.  Your angels ask that you keep up the great work and keep affirming positive outcomes.

So, are you convinced? 🙂

Be the change

Change
A view of a city clicked on a clear winter day.

The Daily Post: Be the change
What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in this world?

Change is something inevitable. And those who adapt to the changes survive. This has been the rule of this world since ages. However, change cannot and should not be imposed on anyone. Different situations and circumstances demand different rules.

Talking of this world and its people, a change is brought about by someone who thinks different. And those who think different will either be followed or criticised. Had we the power to change this world, we probably would not have been blogging here. We do not blog to bring about any change.

Yes, we have followers here in WordPress. They are our followers by their choice. They are those who probably like and enjoy our posts or get lost in the photographs we share. We love our followers because that gives us a sense of satisfaction, that we exist. This is a platform where we can be what we are- eccentric, stupid, crazy!

We are just like anyone else living in this world, with innumerable imperfections.  We make mistakes and learn from our mistakes. We are here to share our life; the good and even the bad, but trying as we do, to add a touch of positive vibe to make life look as simple as possible. We are one among those, struggling to create a life comfortable and suitable to live. We are here to make us feel good. We are glad to be part of the blogging community, learning everyday as we share our posts.

We are not here to change this world through our blog.  We are here to change us and be the change.
