One-Word-Photo-Challenge: Pine
The following pictures are of the pine tree found in the hills in India. These photographs were taken in Ranikhet. Ranikhet is a hill station and cantonment town in Almora district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
“CHIR” is the Hindi term used for Pine.

I love your different perspectives. I like the word Chir for Pine, something about it seems more descriptive of the pine needles or something- I’m not quite sure. Thank you so much for sharing!

This is a good observation Jennifer. Hindi word CHIR, in english means ‘tear apart’ and that may relate to the pine needle. Thank you for the Challenge ! Our photographs could be put to some use. 🙂
